Artist Statement

My work often involves sacred places and things, like shrines and relics. Shrines and holy places fascinate me because they exist in physical space and in inner space as well.

I am interested in exploring the poetic dimension of these while simultaneously making reference to history, memory and nature. Printmaking, with its layers of ink and images, provide me with a plane to explore these themes and ideas while making my own kind of pilgrimage.
