Artist Statement

Eddie Martinez drifts in and out of consciousness while at work.  Fragments of his youth on the coast and his life in the heart of Oaxaca City wash up on the shores of his paintings.  Colorful Flora and Fauna pose for a moment and then are washed away in a dream world. They leave their mark--a rich and powerful memory of Oaxaca, past and present.
