New Grounds is located on the south side of Central Ave (the old Route 66), 2 1/2 blocks east of Carlisle, between Solano and Aliso. It is positioned almost directly across from the funky, decorated Aztec Motel. The building also houses MATRIX Fine Art and several artists studios. The historic Nob Hill district is one of Albuquerque's premier shopping and dining areas.
